Entering The Foot

The game may be called Hand ‘n Foot, but the foot is actually the place that you want to be. Although this game may not be all that difficult to master, it does take a bit of skill to enter the foot. If you have been trying desperately to jump into this game “feet first” with no success, here are some ways that you can find your way into the foot.

First and foremost, the hand must always be played prior to the foot. However, there are three ways of entering the foot once the hand has been completed. The first way of reaching the foot is to play every singe one of the cards that are in the hand, discard them, and then pick up the foot – remember, you cannot play the newly acquired foot deck until the next turn. Or, you may choose to play all of the card in the hand with the exception of one card, and then you can pick up the foot (still, you cannot play until the next turn). Finally, you may decide to play every card from the hand deck, which will result in no card being left behind; from this point, you can pick up the foot and begin to play.

Now that you know how to enter the foot, you will soon spend most of your time in the foot, which is where you want to be. Hand ‘n Foot is a game that takes a bit of skill, so do not become frustrated should you have a hard time entering the foot. Remember that you must wait until it is your turn (following any sort of foot pick up), and you must get rid of your hand deck prior to playing the foot.
