Start a Hand 'n Foot Club

One of the great things about card games is that it can teach you a lot about people-- not least of which yourself! According to some, you can learn more about a person by playing cards with them than you can by going on several dates with them. Card games also do a lot to bring people together and get them interacting with each other, even if they barely know each other. So, why not have create a Hand 'n Foot club and have a game night every week or so?

The key to having successful game nights is to keep the atmosphere friendly and casual. Make sure there's plenty of snacks and drinks to go around. You don't have to host the game anywhere special: It could be at someone's house. Everyone could take turns hosting game night at their house.

Who should you invite to join your Hand 'n Foot club? Anyone you like, really. It might be easiest to start with family, friends, and work your way out from there. You could invite co-workers to join, or acquaintances you'd like to get to know better.

The good thing about card game clubs is that there isn't nearly the kind of pressure as, say, being part of a book club. You don't have to force yourself to read a book in time to have something to discuss at the meeting. With a card game club, you just focus on playing the game that night and having fun.

This could also be a good way to introduce people to Hand 'n Foot and get them hooked on it. And best of all, you'll really be socializing and learning about each other-- which is more than you can say for a movie night!
