Tripoley Complements Hand 'n Foot

When it comes to playing Tripoley, there are a great many similarities between this card game and the game Hand 'n Foot.  Both games are played in stages, with play altering slightly as the game progresses.  Both games are also able to be played by a large or a small group of people, and thus if you have a large dinner party or only your family looking for something to do on a quiet evening, you introduce either of these games to great success.

Tripoley has three stages of game play, with the first being the players collecting relevant stakes, the second stage is played in a manner similar to Poker, and the third is a Stop game which as been compared to games such as Michigan or Boodle.  There is an advantage of being the dealer as you may be able to swap your dealt hand for the spare hand, although you aren't permitted to look at the spare.  Hand 'n Foot enthusiasts will recognize this as being similar to the idea of selecting a Hand or Foot stack without being able to see the entire hand.

Tripoley might have a few drawbacks in that it tends to be a more complicated game with play altering drastically between stages, while Hand 'n Foot simply changes scoring qualifications between each round.  And while either game is an excellent way to entertain friends and family, people may also appreciate that Hand 'n Foot is simply a card game without the extra equipment required for Tripoley play.
