Teach English Through Hand 'n Foot

Are you studying to become an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher? If so, you should know that you will need to stand out from the crowd if you want to find that perfect job. There are many college students seeking an ESL degree at the moment, which means that you may have to find a way to introduce concepts and ideas that other students have not thought of. Here’s a new concept:  Why not use a simple card game to help students learn English?

If you think about it, card games hold all the necessary aspects of an ESL tool. In order to work through a card game, players must talk with one another and communicate. Of course, you can’t expect your students to understand all of the Hand ‘n Foot terms right away, but you can make a chart of the terms (with definitions underneath) that your students can reference during game play. Many ESL students have the ability to speak in another language, but some are often too shy to try to speak English. However, once you introduce a game that is set amidst a fun environment, you will see that these students easily grasp the English language.

In fact, students may become so excited by playing Hand ‘n Foot that they literally cannot stop talking. Should you try this technique upon some current students, you can then introduce your theory to any potential employers. It always helps to have some sort of unique teaching tool up your sleeve when you want to grab that dream job – why not purchase your Hand ‘n Foot decks today? Nobody ever said it would be easy to teach students another language, but Hand ‘n Foot will certainly help your students to learn at a faster pace.
