Hollywood Garbage

This is a mostly American card game and is also called simply; Garbage. This is a very fun game that 2 - 8 people can play, but it is the most fun with f or 6 players. Using the same cards in the hand dealt, several games are played in sequential order. These are games of luck and there is a wager on the table, although usually only a small one.

If you have 3 or less players, you will only use one 52 card standard deck, 4 to 5 players use two decks and 6 to 8 players use three decks. Now, each player should have their "bank" in front of them consisting of 100 pennies, peanuts or some other small wagering chips. Once the dealer is chosen it will be the person to their left who will deal next. You may want to play until everyone has had equal chance to deal.

You begin the game with a round of poker, so ante up and throw a few chips in the pot. The dealer then deals everyone 5 cards face up, one at a time and who ever has the best "hand" wins.

The next hand is a game of bingo using the same 5 cards dealt for the poker round. Dealer plays "caller" using cards from the underside of the un-dealt deck. Call out each suit as you draw them; like ace, king, 3 and so on. The players, if they have the called card, will place a wagering chip on that card, or each card if more than one. The first player to have a chip on each card calls "bongo" and wins.

You may play other luck games; such as "Up-and-Down-The-River", "Count-up" or any other game you could easily alter for this game. It is a lot of fun and it will soon become a favorite.
